cstmAI™ Edge puts a model where the work happens: a plant floor, a vessel, a field office, a substation. Compact or ruggedized, built to run with an unreliable link or none at all, and managed with the same software as the rest of your systems.
Some sites can't wait on a round trip to a data center, and some aren't allowed to make one. An edge system handles the local work (answering questions from manuals, reading documents, inspecting images, summarizing logs) and syncs results when a link is available.
We match the enclosure to the environment: fanless boxes for dusty floors, short-depth rackmounts for telecom cabinets, ruggedized units for vibration and temperature extremes. Smaller models, often fine-tuned for one job, do the work on tens or hundreds of watts.
| Form factor | Fanless box, short-depth 1U–2U, or ruggedized enclosure |
|---|---|
| Accelerators | Embedded AI module, or 1–2 low-profile GPUs |
| Accelerator memory | 16–64 GB |
| Typical models | 1B–14B parameters, quantized; vision and speech models |
| Users | One site: a handful to a few dozen people, or a machine feed |
| Power | Roughly 60 W–1 kW |
| Connectivity | Runs offline; syncs over LAN, cellular or satellite when available |
| Setting | Plants, vessels, vehicles, field and branch sites |

Image models that flag defects on the line and log what they saw.
Plain-language summaries of equipment logs for the next shift or the control room.
Forms and documents read and structured where they arrive, synced when the link returns.

Power, space, temperature, connectivity and who will use it.
A small model chosen and, if needed, tuned for the one job, proven on your examples.
Enclosure matched to the site, burned in under representative load.
Installed on site with an update path your operations team approves.
For a narrow, well-defined job, very. A small model tuned on your procedures or defect images can match a much larger general model on that task. We prove it against your evaluation set before you buy hardware.
When a link is available they sync; when it isn't, they travel on approved media under your change process. We design the update path with your operations or OT team during the build.
Ruggedized options carry the enclosure manufacturer's ratings for temperature, shock and ingress. We spec to the environment you describe and list the ratings in the quote; we don't certify hardware ourselves.
Tell us the models you want to run, how many people will use them and where the hardware should live. An engineer replies with a first configuration and the questions that decide the quote.
